House of Power kicks off the Holiday Season with an inspiring Christmas album for the ages..."House of Power presents Christmas Presents for Christmas: Christmas Songs for the Holidays, an Evening with Eggnog in the House of Power". (or, for short, HOPPCPC:CSHEEHOP)

The project was initially conceived by Merchant (vocals, bass) to be a  cover album of Christmas songs meant to highlight his unique vocal stylings and love of Christmas music. Band mate Bjornstad (vocals, guitar) added a twist and proposed that the band make it a duet, include some acoustic guitar, and record the entire album while drinking eggnog.  The two donned Christmas sweaters and turtlenecks on a cold and snowy December evening; eggnog filled the House of Power, and the magic was born.  Recorded in just over 5 hours, the album "House of Power presents Christmas Presents for Christmas:  Christmas Songs for the Holidays, an Evening with Eggnog in the House of Power" is an ingenious collection of covers and original interpretations of your favorite Christmas classics.  The tracks appear on the album in the order in which they were recorded to capture the eggnogual effects and bring you straight into the studio session.  Most tracks were completed in just one or two takes, and the results were so honest, so brilliant that very little to no mastering was needed - it might be thought of as just one screaming audience away from a live album.

The duo show a true mastery of their craft and truly feed off of each other when they pair up on "The 12 Days of Christmas" and "Jingle Bells".  Merchant's passion shines like the Star of Bethlehem, leading the listener on an unexpectedly melodious journey through all of the "O" songs - "O Holy Night" and "O Come All Ye Faithful".  Bjornstad pays homage to Nat King Cole with  "The Christmas Song", while his chilling acoustical interpretation of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" may also go down in his-to-ree, just like Rudolph.  The eggnog-laced "Last Christmas", "Joy to the World", and  "Holly Jolly Christmas" will make you laugh and cry on several levels.  The album's big finale, "Do You Hear What I Hear" will put you to bed, tuck you in, and kiss you goodnight, leaving hope of sugar plums - and a follow up album - dancing in your head.

House of Power has finally found out what you get when you combine 1 Evening, 1 Jug of Eggnog, 1 Bottle of Bourbon, 2 Turtleneck Sweaters, a dash of talent, and a heaping pile of passion for singing Christmas classics.  This Christmas, do not miss House of Power's "House of Power presents Christmas Presents for Christmas:  Christmas Songs for the Holidays, an Evening with Eggnog in the House of Power".
